Last day of school

It's crazy to think that high school is over!! I can't believe that this big milestone in my life is coming to an end. Anyone who knows me know that I'm no where near a big fan of change. In fact that's something that scares the life out of me! I'm my life with my experiences change hasn't been for the best but that's also something I realize I can't help. It's been such a bitter sweet journey here at Thurgood Marshall Academy and I really can't believe how fast these years are over.. I'm excited for college and extremely scared of failure but I think that can't be something that continues to motivate me to do better and be stronger. On that note it's been real TMA..

Prom

So prom was June 4th and it was AMAZING. It's crazy to think I was so close to not going... The prom process was harder then I thought it would be, between finding a dress and finding a date I was ready to rip my hair out! I don't think it helped especially since I'm extremely petty. I hit my limit when I couldn't find a dress but after I found one I was happier then idk what. Anyway almost everybody looked really good for prom and I'm sure we all enjoyed. This is something I'll really remember and I'm happy I got to do it. If I could do the whole day all over again I probably would the only thing I think I'd change is being on time lol

Class Related Topic

So a couple of weeks ago this guy began to come to our class. His name is WT and he comes to help us to help us interpret  Shakespeare better. So far its been cool and helpful and its definitely a different take on a new way to learn how to interpret Shakespeare. I think that the way that he makes us interact physically with each other keeps us interested in the lesson as apposed to just sitting in class reading aloud. Also I like how he always find a way to keep every one in the class apart of whatever activity is going on at the time. He comes a few times a week and I think he's just what our class needed.

cell phone ban lifted

So as of yesterday January 7th, 2015 it was announced on the news that the cell phone that has been places on public schools in New York City has now been lifted. This ban has been in place for about 8 years now. I think that this ban being lifted is actually a good thing to some extent. I say this because I feel as though this is a rule that has been in place for a long time that still gets broken. I feel as though this can give parents peace at mine especially with all of the things that has been going on in today's society, I know that many parents will feel better knowing that if anything like an emergency were to happen they will be able to contact their children. That goes both ways children can contact their parents too. I also feel as though this can be a benefit to the schools as well. I believe this because I know that many schools have limited resources as far as technology (i.e computers) so with some students having smart phones that will allow certain works to be done on their cellular devices. Also with this ban being lifted it can save parent as well as students money when it comes to paying to storing cell phones in cell phone truck storing vendors. Although all of these things can be considered to be good there are cons as well. Now that students will no longer need the services of the cell phone vendors, they may end up going out of business.

Senior Year So Far

We are only about 4 months into this school year and I already have senior itus. I came into my senior year expecting it to be easy and quick. But I was surprised to find out it was a totally different ball game. I quickly realized that I was lazy and had to do something about it. This is not the type of mentality that I am trying to have going forth to college. Senior year is going fast yet slow at the same time. I keep saying I'm so ready for this year to be over but in reality when I think about it it's a bitter sweet feeling. Nobody ever admits it but I will. (well for now!) But I think I might actually miss TMA. Well this is starting to sound like a senior dedication so ima stop here!
